New publication by Christina Cameron and Mechtild Rössler « La Convention du patrimoine mondial: la vision des pionniers »

This translation of Many Voices, One Vision: the Early Years of the World Heritage Convention (Routledge 2013) covers the creation of the World Heritage Convention and its early implementation. It develops two different streams, marrying documentary evidence with the voices of the pioneers gathered through the Chair’s World Heritage Oral Archives project. It covers the period leading to the adoption of the World Heritage Convention in 1972 and its implementation until the year 2000. The authors believe that the early years set the stage for future activity and provide a context for understanding the subsequent evolution of the Convention.
